Yosemite National Park Lodging
“Just a short note to express our gratitude for your kindness during our recent visit (Sept. ’12) … Your attentiveness and thoughtfulness was a great comfort to us and we really appreciated the move into that beautiful home. We felt very spoiled! … Looking forward to our next visit. Regards and all the best” -Rob and Linda Foley

“We always tell our friends about the wonderful homes you guys have. Please do not sell the Treehouse! If you do, we would like first right of refusal to buy it! Thank you very much for everything!” – Denise Yogi

Notice to summer guests:
None of the rental units have air conditioning. Yosemites Four Seasons is located between the 6,000 and 5,000 ft. elevation. Even during the warmest periods the evenings cool off considerably. You will find that most accommodations in Yosemite National Park do not offer air conditioning. You will find a ceiling and/or portable fan in every unit to help circulate air.
Retail, Internet and Cell Phone Information
Please note: Yosemite West is a remote community located just outside the west boundary of Yosemite National Park in the Sierra National Forest. There are no stores or restaurants in the immediate area. The closest grocery store or restaurant is 30 minutes away in either Yosemite Valley to the east, or Wawona to the south.
Cell phone reception is very spotty and varies depending on which unit you are occupying. The cell phone system in Yosemite was recently upgraded to a 3G system; if your cell phone registers 2 or 3 bars consistently then you will have success logging on to the internet as a personal hot spot (if you have that optional service with your cell provider). Otherwise, however, WIFI internet is available only in the condos at no extra charge.
Internet is available at the Wawona Hotel to the south, the Yosemite Lodge (see the front desk for access codes), Ahwahnee Hotel, and Degnan’s Deli (kiosk units). Cell phone reception is strongest in Yosemite Village at the east end of Yosemite Valley and at Glacier Point. Verizon is available at Tuolumne Meadows in summer only. Specific coverage varies, depending on carrier.

A note about the condos;
The condos at Yosemite West Condominiums are older, basic, functional units that do not reflect the latest in fashionable decor. Furniture is old but works perfect. Mattresses have been updated, however, and are very comfortable. Beds in the studio condos are Murphy Beds, and are, in the opinion of the author, very comfortable. Carpets might have a stain on them from years of transient use. None of the units has air conditioning, as is the case with most accommodations in the Yosemite Park area. These units represent basic lodging geared for guests who place greater emphasis on cost-effective lodging and activities in the park. Additionally, Yosemite West Condominiums are one of the very few places in and around Yosemite National Park where you can cook in your room.
If you are particularly concerned about the latest in decor and appearance, let us suggest you try the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Valley, which has recently been refurbished, beginning at $425 per night, or the Tenaya Hotel in Fish Camp, one hour from Yosemite Valley, starting at $289 per night.
