Thanksgiving eve
The wondrous evening sky of Yosemite West was ablaze with light this Thanksgiving eve. The evening sky was wonderful tonight. The colors, the light, and the fresh snow all mixed together in painted simplicity.
My ipod took a few grainy pictures for you….as the sun set.

On this Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving……Thanksgiving eve What wondrous evening sky is this, what wondrous evening sky is this that is filled with the softness of clouds… parting that is filled with the gentleness of the snow…on the distant mountain side that is filled with the light……of a sunrise. The sky was overcast all day while the snow was falling….then…..the clouds began to part…to reveal a beautiful sky at sunset…with newly fallen snow on the distant mountain side.
The sunset looked more like a sunrise. As the day draws towards evening….darkness does not prevail…the evening sky is filled with light. The softness of the clouds…pools of white….The happiness of this moment is all I need at this moment.
Yosemite’s very sky and sunset provide the happiness of this moment. This evening sunset…before Thanksgiving Day is indeed something to be thankful for. The wondrous evening sky of Yosemite West this Thanksgiving eve is a good time to reflect in silence …like the silence of the falling snow……to reflect on the day…and on thoughts of love.
On this night I looked up in wonder at the sky’s wonderful beauty and thought how little we imagine what may be the result of listening more to our heart. May you have a peaceful night’s sleep…and a thankful and loving heart. Scenic Wonders wishes you and your family a happy Thanksgiving Holiday.
